Nightstar went up and sat on the ledge, next to Seastar, as the normal routine. Having heard IvyClan had a new leader, Risingstar, and he was anxious to see and congratulate him. He sat, waiting for the other Clans to arrive.

At his yowl, Heatherdust bounded down the slope after Seastar. Her tiny paws skimmed the ground as she flowed down the slope and then slowed, winding among her clanmates and the LavaClan cats with soft mews and friendly brushes of pelt.
"Stay close to me," she mewed gently to Owlpaw and Echopaw, "since this is your first gathering. BreezeClan doesn't need two loose-tongued apprentices making any trouble," she finished with a good-natured twinkle in her eye.
Echopaw nodded sheepishly, her pelt pressed close to Heatherdust's. Her paws were practically quivering, and her eyes darted back and forth from the LavaClan cats around them (all of whom Heatherdust seemed to know) to the slope that led into the gathering place as she waited for the other two Clans to appear. She couldn't wait to meet the other medicine cats, and she glanced excitedly at her sister, her ears pricked and her eyes shining with anticipation.

Shadefall waited in anticipation. This would be her first gathering as a warrior, and she hoped that it wouldn't end in chaos. She saw BreezeClan's cats coming through. Leaf and Dark came up to Shadefall and sat with her.

Risingstar led IvyClan to the top of the slope above the gathering place, his large, wide paws stepping surely as he came to a halt. His expression was calm. This was the first gathering since he had taken leadership of IvyClan. Many cats would be expecting him to prove himself at this gathering, and he would be sure he did. He had been waiting for this all his life.
This was what he had been born for: to make his Clan strong again. He could feel it in every fiber of his being.
Risingstar turned to his Clan, and their nervous whispers died down. The few pairs of eyes stared trustingly back at him. He nodded once to them, giving them reassurance, and drew himself up to his full height before signaling to them with his tail and bursting out of the bushes. He pounded down the slope, his clanmates close behind him, his tail held high, and made his way through the cats gathered around the ledge. He leaped up onto it, being careful not to fumble the jump. How humiliating that would be, he thought dryly as he sat next to the other two leaders.
"Greetings, Nightstar, Seastar," he mewed, greeting them respectfully as equals. His deep voice was steady and calm. "I see StormClan has yet to arrive."

"Greetings, Risingstar, congratulations on becoming leader. As for StormClan, I don't know, they're usually not last like this."

[[ OOC: okay just to make sure this Gathering actually gets done, I'm just gonna post now. If Rae wants to come in, we could just say there was something she needed to take care of beforehand or something lol xD ]]
Hawktail approached the hill with a tiny little run; she was quite aware that her Clan was late, and they couldn't show up when the Gathering had already started. She took a quick glance behind her to make sure her Clanmates were still close behind, and then padded down the slope. She took a moment to observe everything around her; it appeared that StormClan was last, and all of the other Clan cats were waiting for the Gathering to start.
She knew they probably were concerned about Froststar. Hawktail had filled in for her the past few moons, although she hadn't been questioned on the matter yet. Hawktail herself wasn't quite sure why Froststar wasn't coming, but she had decided that if she wasn't leading the cats out, Hawktail should do so and speak at the Gathering instead. After all, it was better than just leaving StormClan absent.
Hawktail looked behind her once again, and once she saw her Clanmates following down the slope, she carefully made her way through the crowd of cats and leaped up onto the ledge. She gave her fur a few quick licks and then sat facing the other leaders.
"Greetings," she meowed. She paused, wondering what she should say before speaking again. "I apologize for the delay. Are all of the Clans here?" Hawktail looked at the cats, and then back at the leaders. "When shall we start?"

[OOC: Rae will never come by the end of the month, that's for sure. I just wish Dippy, Oak, and Lighting were here, then it would pretty much be a complete gathering.
Seastar gazed up at the moon. It was already past moonhigh. "Now, I think. We have many things to share." He padded over to the edge and yowled "The Gathering is beginning!" He watched the cats turn towards the ledge, gazing up at the leaders. Seastar backed up, signaling Risingstar to begin.
Singepaw;;
My very first Gathering! Singepaw thought in delight as Hawktail brought them over into the clearing. She started chatting with Echopaw when she heard Seastar's yowl. She turned in awe to the great ledge where the leaders spoke and their deputies beneath them (or, just Oakheart). I wonder if I could be up there some day...

f r o s t s t a r ;; Heavy white paws scuffed the dusty, well-worn trail that led to the Clans' Gathering place. After oversleeping once again, Froststar was beginning to worry that she was growing into no more than a fat, lazy kittypet. Or worse - she was getting elderly!
Clumsy as she was, the StormClan leader managed to sprint up the hill without disturbing the crowd (too much), then hopped up on top of the ledge on which the leaders were gathered in a few short but time-consuming leaps. Her claws scraped loudly on the rocks that were used as pawholds in assisting cats up the slope. I used to be able to clear that jump easily!
"Sorry I'm late," she panted, out of breath, not noticing she was disrupting the Gathering.
It seemed, from her current condition, that she was out of shape.. when was the last time she left her den other than now? She could not recall, for she had just gotten over a bout of whitecough and those miserable days in her den had left her slightly confused. Not that she wanted her Clanmates to know - she was on her second to last life, and they would begin to worry if they suspected she was going to lose one of those lives. She would much rather be called a kittypet than waste her Clanmates' energy by allowing them to care night and day for her. leader of s t o r m c l a n

Risingstar blinked, startled by Froststar's sudden appearance. He blinked again and seemed to shake himself, as if putting something out of his mind.
"It's no problem, I suppose," he murmured with a curious glance at Hawktail and the other leaders. "We've only just begun the Gathering."
In the clearing below, Echopaw turned to Singepaw with wide eyes. "Why is Froststar so late?" she asked in a whisper, gazing up at the ledge. The white she-cat looked out of shape and tired. Echopaw felt concerned, though she knew it wasn't her problem. There was something...odd about Froststar. Echopaw's eyes narrowed as she gazed at the StormClan leader.
Suddenly, as if by instinct, she could tell: Froststar only has two lives left!
Her pelt bristled, and she opened her mouth to tell Singepaw when she felt a sharp paw jab her in the side. She turned her head to see Heatherdust looking at her sternly. Her mentor shook her head sharply. Echopaw's ears flattened and she mumbled an apology before turning back to her friend.

[OOC: SECOND to last life? ogawd srsly /shot]
"Greetings, Froststar." Seastar dipped his head politely. Then, turning to Risingstar, he said "I will go next." Though it had felt odd in leaf-bare when he was still used to being a deputy, he could now stand in front of all the Clan cats and speak smoothly. "BreezeClan is doing well, despite the low prey. As usual, we are strong enough to defend any threat posed from either the Clans or anything else." He paused. "However, I suppose I should mention the new Twoleg buildings springing up lately. They are dangerously near our camp, and require four warriors at least to go through and teach the Twolegs a lesson. About a moon ago, Hawkfrost, Froststar, Heatherdust and I tried to infiltrate the Twoleg camp in the Twolegplace near our border." Remembering the day, Seastar gave a mental shudder. "I ask you, that if you ever find this dens in your territory, that you be very prepared. That is all I have to say." Seastar padded back, and waited for the next leader to speak.
